Interpretive
Day Hikes and Treks:
1. Sulphur
Skyline: moderately
strenuous climb on a well graded trail to magnificent views of the front
ranges of the
Canadian Rockies and big horn sheep.
2. Bald Hills at Maligne Lake:
moderately strenuous walk along an old fire lookout road providing easy
access to alpine meadows of wild flowers.
3. Parkers'
Ridge at the Columbia Icefields:
travel the most scenic parkway in all of North America to the trail head
where we start trekking in the alpine to a ridge offering views of glaciers
and 11,000 footers.
4. The
Valley of the Five Lakes: can be an easy or moderate hike through
the montane eco-region, early season wild flowers abound.
5. Devona Lookout: moderately
strenuous hike along a
reclaimed fire lookout road. Spectacular views of the
Athabasca River Valley, Jasper Lake and Roche Miette.
