Maligne Pass
Maligne Pass Route
Maligne Pass is an outstanding alpine pass comprised of lakes and rolling alpine meadows of heather & wildflowers for almost 4 km. It has played an important role in the discovery of Maligne Lake and continued for many years through the early 1900's as a main trail to Jasper - The Glacier Trail.
We set up camp at the southern end of the Pass at the edge of tree line for the next 2 nights and enjoy a day without packs exploring the lush alpine meadows and visiting the numerous lakes beneath the Endless Chain Ridge.
