The Tonquin valley is one of the largest alpine meadows in Jasper National Park and the home of a few caribou and grizzlies. At the lake edge we enjoy a cozy little campsite.
There is great fishing in the Amethyst lakes so don't forget your fishing rods or on the following day enjoy an interpretive hike in the Eremite Valley. On the 3rd day we return to the trailhead via another trail completing a small loop through the world famous Tonquin Valley.
