Will I be Able to hike

Our guided trips cater to inexperienced individuals, moderately experienced
and more aggressive HIKERS.
We have all the knowledge and training to guide all ages and levels of
ability.
Our guides are very conscious of when to take rest breaks and maybe even
call it a day, still having cherished the experience without overdoing
it.
WHAT to WEAR and BRING?
Weather patterns are very unpredictable. It maybe sunny, raining, snowing
and windy with temperature fluctuations all in the same day.
You should bring a small pack to carry your rain gear, fleece jacket,
hat, sun screen, sunglasses, gloves, camera, binoculars, lunch and water
bottle.
We provide the lunch, including a sandwich, fruit, and bottled water.
Also the interpretive guide carries an emergency kit and provides transportation
to and from the eco-adventure.
How difficult is it? How fit and experienced do you need to be?
This trip is moderate to strenuous. The long days being easy and
the short days
being strenuous with a half day rest in the middle of the tour. No
prior hiking experience
is necessary but participants must be in good shape as they will be carrying
packs of as
much as 20 kg for as long as 7 hours. The trails are mostly in good condition
with some
boggy areas and deep ruts from horse traffic in past years. There are also some
stiff
climbs involved. We cannot emphasis enough that training tremendously adds to
the
enjoyment factor. We suggest you train by hiking in hilly terrain and or jogging.
If you
feel this trip is too demanding you might consider one of our 3 day trips staying
in either
a hut or a tent, especially if it's your first time out in the mountains.
